PressPilot is a mobile app published by The Tiny Apps Company ("we", "us", "our"). It puts your Frappe Cloud sites, benches and deploys in your pocket — a calm, faithful mobile mirror of the dashboard you already use — so that being away from your desk stops meaning being out of control.
These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") are the agreement between you and The Tiny Apps Company governing your download and use of the PressPilot mobile application for Android and iOS, together with any updates to it (the "App"). They form a binding legal contract, so please read them carefully.
PressPilot is an independent, third-party companion client for Frappe Press — the open-source platform that powers Frappe Cloud and self-hosted Press instances. It is not made by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Frappe Technologies Pvt. Ltd. To use the App you need your own Frappe Cloud or self-hosted Press account; the App connects to that account on your behalf and does not provide hosting itself.
The App triggers real, and sometimes irreversible, operations against live production infrastructure — deploys, migrations, restarts, backups, and site activation or deactivation. Because a single tap can change or take down a running site, it matters that you understand who is responsible for what. These Terms set that out plainly.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using PressPilot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1 Acceptance of these Terms
By creating a session in PressPilot, signing in with your Frappe credentials or an API key, or otherwise using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.
If you use the App on behalf of an organisation, a client, or a team, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation and to take actions against its infrastructure through the App. In that case "you" means both you and that organisation.
If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, your only remedy is to stop using the App and remove it from your device.
2 What PressPilot is (and is not)
PressPilot is a mobile operations console for Frappe Press. It talks to the same REST API that the official Frappe web dashboard uses, so what you see and do in the App reflects your own Frappe Cloud or self-hosted Press environment. It works against frappecloud.com and against self-hosted Press instances — you simply point it at your server URL.
Through the App you can, among other things, view a home dashboard and recent-activity timeline; browse and search sites with their status, plan, region and bench; open a site to activate or deactivate it, restart it, migrate it, clear its cache, trigger a backup, update it, and inspect its backups, jobs, installed apps and custom domains; work with benches (release groups), including tracked branches, commit hashes, deploy history and a live step-by-step deploy action; review servers, status and logs; receive push notifications for updates, job failures and billing; view and revoke Frappe support access requests against your sites; and view read-only billing information such as plan usage and unpaid invoice totals.
PressPilot is a client only. It is not a hosting provider, and it is not the Frappe platform. It does not store your live infrastructure and does not stand between you and your server as a proxy: your site, bench, deploy, log and billing data is fetched on demand directly from your own server to your device. We do not control your server, your data on it, or the Frappe platform's availability, correctness, or behaviour.
3 Eligibility and age
You must be at least 16 years old to use PressPilot, or older where a higher minimum age (such as 18) is required by the laws that apply to you. The App is intended for people who operate production hosting infrastructure and is not directed at children.
By using the App you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If we learn that someone below the applicable minimum age is using the App, we may terminate their access.
4 Your Frappe account, credentials and API tokens
PressPilot requires your own valid Frappe Cloud or self-hosted Press account. You are responsible for maintaining that account in good standing with your hosting provider and for complying with any terms that govern it, including Frappe's own terms where you use Frappe Cloud.
You can sign in with the same email and password you already use on the Frappe dashboard (two-factor authentication is supported), or with an API key. Your password is used only transiently, in memory, to obtain an API token during sign-in; it is never written to storage, logs, or crash reports, and one-time 2FA passcodes are never stored. The App stores only the derived API token, your server URL, and your selected team, held in your device's hardware-backed secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences). Communications with your server are made over HTTPS.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials, API keys and the device on which the App is installed secure. Anyone with access to a signed-in device can take real actions against your infrastructure. If your device is lost or stolen, or you suspect unauthorised access, you should sign out of the App, revoke the relevant API key from your Frappe dashboard, and secure your account. You are responsible for all activity carried out through your session.
5 Acceptable use
You may use PressPilot only for lawful purposes and only to manage infrastructure that you own or are authorised to manage. You agree not to misuse the App.
In particular, you agree not to do any of the following:
- Use the App to access, alter, disable, or take actions against any site, bench, server or account that you are not authorised to control;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the App, your server's API, or the Frappe platform, including by scripting or automating the App in ways it is not designed for;
- Attempt to circumvent the App's security, authentication, or the read-only nature of features that are read-only (such as billing);
- Use the App to violate any law, regulation, or the rights of any third party, or in breach of your agreement with your hosting provider;
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices in the App, or use our name, logo, or marks except as permitted.
6 Powerful and destructive operations — your responsibility
This is the most important thing to understand before you use PressPilot. The App is a faithful mobile mirror of your Frappe dashboard, and it lets you trigger operations that are powerful and, in some cases, irreversible. Deploying a bench, migrating a site, deactivating a site, clearing a cache, restarting, updating, or triggering a backup all act on live production infrastructure and can change, interrupt, or take down running services.
You are solely responsible for every action you initiate through the App and for its consequences. Before you confirm an action, it is your responsibility to understand what it does, to have appropriate backups and rollback plans, and to have authority to act on the affected infrastructure. The App reflects the state and behaviour reported by your server; it does not guarantee the outcome, success, timing, or reversibility of any operation, and outcomes are ultimately determined by the Frappe platform and your server, not by us.
We are not responsible for data loss, downtime, failed or partial deploys or migrations, service interruption, or any other consequence arising from actions you (or anyone using your session) trigger through the App. If you are unsure about the effect of an action, do not perform it.
7 No affiliation with Frappe; nominative use of marks
The Tiny Apps Company is an independent developer. PressPilot is not made by, affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Frappe Technologies Pvt. Ltd. or any of its affiliates.
"Frappe", "Frappe Cloud" and "Frappe Press" are names and marks of their respective owners. We use them only descriptively and nominatively — to identify the platform that PressPilot works with and to describe what the App does. This use does not imply any endorsement or partnership, and no claim of ownership over those marks is made or intended. 8 Third-party services
PressPilot depends on and interacts with services operated by others. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their availability, content, security, or conduct.
These third-party services include:
- Your Frappe server. Your Frappe Cloud or self-hosted Press instance is operated by Frappe and/or by you — not by The Tiny Apps Company. Your live infrastructure data lives there, and its availability, correctness and behaviour are outside our control.
- Google Firebase. The App uses Google Firebase, including Cloud Firestore and Firebase Cloud Messaging. Contact details you provide in the App (such as your name, email address and phone number, given for onboarding, support and notifications) are synced to our Firebase backend and used to deliver notifications about your infrastructure and to provide support. A device push token is stored so that notifications can reach your phone. Firebase is a Google service, subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.
- The app stores. Downloading, installing, and updating the App is subject to the terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable. Where required, those stores' end-user licence provisions apply in addition to these Terms.
9 Privacy and data
Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: your password is never stored; only a derived API token, your server URL and your selected team are kept, in your device's hardware-backed secure storage; and your live site, bench, deploy, log and billing data is fetched directly from your server to your device and is not stored on our servers.
The contact details you choose to provide in the App are synced to our Firebase backend to enable notifications and support, as described above. We do not sell your personal data, and the App contains no third-party advertising SDKs. The App requires network access to function and requests notification permission so that it can alert you to updates, job failures and billing events.
10 Intellectual property and licence
The App, including its software, design, user interface, text, graphics and the PressPilot name and logo, is owned by The Tiny Apps Company and is protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that ownership to you.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for the purpose of managing your own Frappe infrastructure. This licence does not permit you to copy, distribute, sublicense, sell, rent, or create derivative works from the App, except where such rights cannot be restricted by law.
Your infrastructure, your data on your server, and the content of your Frappe account remain yours. We claim no ownership over them.
11 Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that it will always reflect the exact current state of your infrastructure; that operations triggered through it will succeed, complete, or be reversible; or that any defect will be corrected. Because the App depends on your server, the Frappe platform, Google Firebase, your network, your device, and the app stores — none of which we control — service and data availability may be affected by factors outside our control.
Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the App is accessed at your own discretion and risk, and you are solely responsible for any resulting effect on your infrastructure or devices. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
12 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Tiny Apps Company and its owners, officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any downtime, data loss, failed or partial deploy or migration, or other consequence of an operation triggered through the App — whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App and these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or ten US dollars (USD 10).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where the law does not allow some of these limitations, they apply only to the extent permitted.
13 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Tiny Apps Company and its owners, officers, employees and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or connected with: your use or misuse of the App; any operation you trigger against infrastructure through the App; your violation of these Terms or of any law; your infringement of the rights of any third party; or your breach of any agreement you have with your hosting provider or Frappe.
We may, at our option, assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defence of such claims.
14 Suspension and termination
You may stop using the App at any time by signing out and uninstalling it from your device. Signing out removes the stored API token from your device; you may also revoke the associated API key from your Frappe dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the App. Termination does not limit any rights or remedies we may have.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — will continue to apply after your access ends.
15 Changes to the Terms and to the App
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the App, to our practices, or to the law. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms; if you do not agree, you should stop using the App.
We are continually improving PressPilot, and we may add, change, or remove features, or discontinue the App entirely, at any time. Because the App mirrors the Frappe platform, changes to that platform's API may also affect what the App can do. We are not liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App or any of its features.
16 Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the App, are governed by the laws of India and, in particular, the State of Gujarat, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Surat, Gujarat, India, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings, or require proceedings to be brought, elsewhere.
Before starting any formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us so we can try to resolve the matter informally. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force, and the unenforceable provision will be applied to the greatest extent permitted by law.
17 General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and The Tiny Apps Company regarding the App, and they supersede any prior agreements on that subject. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or by operation of law. There are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms, except that Apple and Google may enforce any app-store provisions that apply to them.
