PressPilot is a mobile app for Frappe Cloud and self-hosted Frappe Press. Manage your sites, benches, deploys, backups, notifications and support access from your phone — on iOS and Android.

The tether

The desk was the bottleneck the whole time

Your Frappe Cloud control panel lives on the web, and the web lives on your desk. So you live near your desk.

A deploy fails at 9pm, mid-dinner. A site goes amber while you're on a train. Twenty-three updates pile up over a weekend you were trying to take. The only move you have is "wait until I'm back at my desk" — and that isn't a plan. You're not tethered to the work. You're tethered to a chair.

The cord, cut

The same console, now in your pocket

PressPilot talks to the same API as the Frappe web dashboard — not a stripped-down view, the actual ops console, mirrored to your phone.

Watch a failed deploy climb back to Success from the sofa. Restart a wobbling site between train stations. Clear a weekend's updates from a coffee queue. And when something breaks, your phone tells you before your client does.

The morning glance

Your whole estate, before you've sat down

Open the app and the day is already there: how many sites are active, how many want updating, and the one number that matters — does anything need attention? Most mornings, that glance is all you needed.

  • The "need attention" count sits up top — peace of mind before your coffee.
  • A live timeline of every recent deploy and job, each with a Success or Failure pill.
  • Weekend updates become a number you saw Saturday, not a Monday ambush.

The deploy that failed at 9pm

Watch it climb from wherever you're standing

Tap Deploy and watch the build climb step by step until it lands. When a job fails, the screen stops on the broken step with the log right there — a ruined evening becomes a two-minute call.

  • Live progress polls each step until Success or Failure — no refreshing.
  • The failed step's log is right there — read the real error, not a red pill.
  • Branch and commit hash for every app — you always know what's running.

First to know, not last

Your phone tells you before your client does

A failed deploy, a site gone quiet, an invoice due — it reaches your phone and drops you straight onto the affected site, into the log. You catch it in the ad break, not in a Monday apology.

  • Push alerts for updates, failed jobs and billing — on the phone you already carry.
  • Every alert deep-links straight to the affected site or bench.
  • Be the one who says "already on it," not "sorry, I hadn't seen that."

The train

One tap to steady a wobbling site

Every site wears a status pill, so you spot the broken one in seconds. Open it and the real controls — restart, clear cache, migrate, back up, update — are one thumb away. The pill flips back to Active before your stop.

  • Semantic pills — Active, Broken, Updating, Trial — spotted at a glance.
  • Restart, clear cache, migrate, deactivate, back up or update — one tap each.
  • Backups, apps, domains and step-level job logs, all on one screen.

The access you forgot to revoke

See who's inside — and close the door yourself

Frappe engineers request access to your sites; revoking it when they're done is what everyone forgets. See every grant — received and sent — and revoke with a tap, from anywhere.

  • Every support-access grant against your sites, in one place.
  • Revoke the moment the work is done — not next week when you remember.
  • Approve access on a Sunday without opening a laptop.

Whoever you are on the team

The same calm, for very different jobs

Agency owner, 30 client sites

One glance over breakfast: all green, nothing pending, backups done. Be reliable from a train or a dinner — and the first to know the one time something slips.

DevOps / Frappe developer

Read the failed step's log, retrigger the deploy, back to dinner. Branch, hash, deploy history and live progress — the bench detail you work from, on mobile.

Non-technical ops manager

You read the pills, not the logs. Green means everything's healthy, updates handled, backups running — close the app and get on with your day.

Solo founder on self-hosted Press

A site wobbled at dinner; you restarted it from the table and kept eating. Same app, same actions — just point it at your own server URL.

Freedom without a new place to leak

Power in your pocket, kept safe

Password never stored

Sign in once; the app trades your password for a token and forgets it. Or skip passwords entirely with an API key.

Token in secure storage

The token lives in your phone's secure enclave — iOS Keychain, Android EncryptedSharedPreferences — over enforced HTTPS.

Billing is view-only

Check usage and invoices with nothing to accidentally trigger. Glancing at 11pm carries zero risk.

Your own server

Same REST API, so it behaves identically on frappecloud.com or self-hosted Press. Change one field: the server URL.

Straight answers

Questions worth asking first

Is this the official Frappe Cloud app?
No. PressPilot is an independent, third-party companion app from The Tiny Apps Company, not affiliated with Frappe Technologies. It uses the same REST API as the official web dashboard, so it behaves like a faithful mobile mirror of it.
Is my password safe, and how do I sign in?
You sign in with the same email and password you use on the Frappe dashboard (2FA supported), or an API key. Your password is never stored — the app trades it for a token kept in your phone's hardware-backed secure storage, over HTTPS.
Can I take actions, or only view?
You can act: deploy benches, restart, clear cache, migrate, back up, update, activate or deactivate sites, and revoke access requests. Only billing is view-only, by design.
Does it work with self-hosted Frappe Press?
Yes, identically. Use frappecloud.com out of the box, or change the server URL to your own self-hosted Press instance. If it runs Frappe Press, PressPilot can drive it.
Will it tell me when something breaks?
Yes. Push notifications for available updates, failed jobs and billing events land on your phone and deep-link straight to the affected site or bench — into the job's log.
I'm not a developer. Is this for me?
Especially. If you run 10–50 client sites and just need to know everything's healthy, updates are handled and backups run, the glance-and-go dashboard and one-tap actions are built for exactly that — no terminal required.
Which platforms, and is it out yet?
Native apps for Android and iOS are coming soon. 2FA is supported in the sign-in flow. Tap "Get notified at launch" and we'll email you the moment it's live.
Could having everything on my phone be a risk?
No new exposure: password never stored, token in secure storage, all HTTPS, data straight from your server to your device. It even removes a risk — you can finally revoke stale support-access grants from anywhere.
